How we test your jewelry
Every piece is weighed on a certified scale, then tested for purity using an electronic tester or acid test in front of you. Gemstones, clasps, and non-gold fittings are weighed separately and excluded from the gold price so you're only paying for what's actually there.
Stamped or not, it's welcome
Stamped pieces are usually quicker to value, since the karat mark tells us what to expect before we test. Unstamped, older, or inherited jewelry is just as welcome — every item gets the same XRF purity test either way, it simply takes a few extra minutes.
What you walk away with
A written, itemized quote showing gross weight, deducted weight for stones or fittings, net gold weight, tested karat, and the price at that day's rate — per piece, not as one lump sum.
